Fundraising

The Young Marines is a non-profit organization. Some funding for operations trickles from the Marine Corps League; however, that only covers basic operation costs. Anything beyond basic costs (field trips, in-need Young Marines or YM units, uniforms, etc...) are all funded through various fundraising events. Bake/food sales, car washes, and raffles are some of the ways the Camp Johnson Young Marines have raised funds for their activities. We are looking for PARENT support in these events. Community Service

Young Marines not only earn a ribbon for community service, but are encouraged to participate and can even earn a ribbon for participating in community service. Community service can be anything from assisting a neigbor to participating in organized community activities. Click for some local community service opportunities. or individual projects that your Young Marine may get credit for.
